Lateefah Simpson is a children’s book author with a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management from Nyack College. The Rockland County native serves as the Assistant Director of a preschool in the Lower Hudson Valley.
Her debut book, Nyle the Crocodile and Glover the Plover, explores the unique friendship between the Nile River crocodile and the Egyptian plover bird. Her second book, Enzi the One-Eyed Puffer Fish, follows a one-eyed puffer fish on a journey of self-discovery as she learns the meaning and power behind her name.
When she’s not writing, Lateefah loves chocolate, Wonder Woman, owls, and watching Jeopardy! religiously. She also enjoys hiking, writing poetry, photography, and visiting museums (and aquariums) with her family.
Lateefah lives in Rockland County with her husband, daughter, and son.
